After Surgery

  • We'd like to give you some general rules to supplement the instructions you will receive from your doctor. Your surgeon will authorize your discharge from Kissimmee Surgery Center.
  • Follow the doctor's instructions regarding diet, rest and medication. It is not unusual to feel dizzy and sleepy after a procedure.
  • Guests are advised not to drive, make important decisions, or sign important papers for at least 24 hours following a procedure.
  • Only two visitors will be allowed in the Recovery area.
  • Sorry, but no one under 16 will be allowed in the Recovery area. A favorite toy and/or blanket is a nice "friend" for your child to bring with them.
  • Please bring a bottle if your child uses one.
  • Please arrange to have someone drive you home.
  • Our staff will call to check on your progress.
  • In the event of any difficulty, you should first attempt to reach your doctor.
  • In you are unable to reach your doctor, you may call Kissimmee Surgery Center, Monday-Friday between 6:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.
  • The itemized bill from Kissimmee Surgery Center will be an easy-to-understand, all-inclusive bill for our service and facilities. It does not include fees of your surgeon, consulting physician, anesthesiologists or pathologist.
  • If you have any questions about payment, please do not hesitate to call Kissimmee Surgery Center.
