Things You Need To Know About Your Pain Management Procedure
Before Your Procedure
You may eat or drink prior to your procedure.
You may take scheduled medications, or pain medication prior to your procedure.
You must be accompanied by a responsible adult, licensed to drive a motor vehicle to transport you home after your procedure. Your procedure will be performed three weeks in a row, therefore you will need a driver for all three procedures.
Please let us know if you are taking a blood thinner.
Day of Procedure
Upon arrival at Kissimmee Surgery Center at least 30 minutes before your scheduled procedure time, and report to the reception desk.
We encourage you to ask questions and let the staff know of your special needs. We want your visit to be as comfortable as possible.
Your procedure should last approximately 1 hour.
After Your Procedure
You may receive medication during your procedure that may cause you to feel dizzy or sleepy afterwards; therefore, you are advised not to drive, or make any important decisions within 24 hours following the procedure.
Avoid bending, stooping, and heavy lifting.
Be aware that your legs may be slightly unsteady.
Be aware that desired results are not always immediate, and may not be seen for several weeks.
